Homogeneous light with modular LED lighting solutions by GALAXY® profiles

Intelligent product design and unique product compatibility are the basis of future-oriented LED lighting concepts. LED profile systems of GALAXY® profiles are modular LED lighting solutions. The individual components of the system can be assembled with little effort, quickly and easily using the click system, and are gentle on the assembled material.

The PL5 LED CONSTRUCTION profile has a particularly narrow design, is intended for LED flex strips with a width of up to 12 mm and can be used universally indoors (together with the PL10 surface profile and universal cable channel, also as an independent LED pendant light with cable suspension or as an LED light fixed with mounting clips/springs). This aluminum profile can also be used for installation for a specific application.

LED profile covers opal/satin (light transmittance 65%) are made of shatter-resistant and flame-retardant polycarbonate (*flammability classification UL94 V-2) and create homogeneous LED lighting conditions with the use of high light output (no light points, but a continuous line of light).

This LED CONSTRUCTION profile can be equipped with three different plastic covers – flat, high or round. All three covers surround the BUILDING profile on the open side. This means that only the LED light bar is visible. In the case of a flat cover, the light shines in one direction, while in the case of a high and round cover, the light from the LED strips shines in three directions (also sideways).

The PL5 LED STRUCTURE profile has a large heatsink and can therefore be equipped with stronger LED flex strips. Due to its small dimensions and light weight, it is suitable as an ideal LED light source for home and office furniture, home accessories, showcases, stairs, shelves, walls and ceilings, among other things.

Easy and quick installation
The self-adhesive LED strips are inserted in the center along the groove of the LED profile, glued in place, connected with wires (plastic end caps with cable glands available) and connected to the LED lighting and control technology (LED transformer, LED sequencer, etc.). The LED profile can be clicked directly onto the support object or the building structure into the pre-installed fixing clips.

LED light strips can also be attached to smooth surfaces using double-sided adhesive tape. Finally, the corresponding polycarbonate LED profile covers are clicked.

Recommendation:
For excellent adhesion of the self-adhesive LED strips, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the inside of the profile with an acetone cleaner.

Use in wet rooms and outdoor conditions
Use in wet rooms or outdoor conditions is possible only in closed form. Silicone, which is applied to the joints to seal, offers special protection against moisture and water. Absolute water resistance is achieved with LED profile systems by casting with Wepuran casting resin based on polyurethane resin (PUR).

Important:
When installing LED profile systems in wet rooms and outdoor conditions, it is essential to use only LED flexible strips with the corresponding protection class! GALAXY® profile linear LED outdoor lights meet these requirements as standard. We’re happy to help!

Assembly and Standard Custom Made Products (OEM)
From the corresponding minimum purchase quantity, our standard range of LED profiles and plastic covers are made to measure or manufactured to a customer-specific length specification up to a maximum total length of 6m per LED profile system.

On request, LED aluminum profiles from GALAXY® profiles can be made in all RAL colors (powder coating).
